I usually go through a new pair of pointe shoes every day or two. When I do a ballet like swan lake, I use to 3 pairs of shoes in a single show. Once the shoes are “dead” we throw them away or I sign them to give to fans. So as you can imagine, I have to do a lot of sewing to get the ribbons and elastics in place! - Isabella Boylston
